Burger Sauce
⅓cupmayo
¼cupketchup
2tbsyellow mustard
1 ½teaspoondijon mustard
2-3tbspickle juice (or water)
optional: ¼ - ½ cup pickleschopped small
cayenne pepper to taste if you want to add some heat!
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350° & prep ingredients: Slice 1 12ct package slider rolls (like KIng's Hawaiian) carefully in half, separating tops from bottoms. Set tops aside and place the bottoms of the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Make sauce and prep any toppings.
Make Burger Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together⅓ cup mayo, ¼ cup ketchup, 2 tbs yellow mustard, 1 ½ teaspoon dijon mustard, 2-3 tbs pickle juice (or water) to thin. I love to add finely chopped pickles as well. Mix & adjust to taste!
Cook Ground Beef: In a large skillet, preheat your pan. Add 1 tbs avocado oilWhen the oil is hot and shimmering, add the chopped onion and nice pinch of salt. Cook onions, stirring often, until softened. Add 1 lb ground beefto the skillet & 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Cook 10 minutes or until the ground beef is cooked through. Remove beef and onions from heat and set aside to assemble sliders.
Assemble Sliders: Make sure bottoms of rolls are on baking sheet. Sprinkle minced raw white onion & then add cheese slices. Add ground beef and onion mixture evenly over the rolls. Carefully place tops of rolls on the ground beef. Lightly brush with 1 tablespoon melted butter & sprinkle 2 teaspoon sesame seeds evenly over the top. Bake 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops are toasty & golden brown. Carefully remove the toasty tops after a few minutes and any toppings & burger sauce if you haven't already done so!
Add Sauce: Let sliders sit for 2-5 minutes until you can carefully remove the tops. Add lettuce, pickles & lots of burger bowl sauce. Place tops back on. Serve immediately (or eat them cold out of the fridge like I do).
Notes
Storage: Sliders can sit in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days & reheated.
